The TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Design and Development) is for people in, or looking for, design and development jobs where you are responsible for designing and developing training and assessment strategies, usually for RTOs, including analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet industry standards and compliance requirements. You can enrol in more than one Diploma specialisation. It is $750 extra if you would like to complete 2 specialisations as part of your enrolment and an additional $250 for the third specialisation. I recently completed the TAE50116 Diploma at Fortress and was extremely pleased with the overall experience starting from the initial sign up in March 2023, on-going support and completion of my units. I was able to arrange meetings with my trainer without hassle when I needed further guidance, the admin team would send me emails and SMSs regularly to check in on me and they always were on hand to answer any questions or queries. The layout of the learning management system was fantastic and I always knew what modules had been completed and what was outstanding. It’s one of the best learning portals I’ve used to date. On completion of my last unit I was immediately sent my electronic certificate which is QR coded and verified which expedited the process so I could pass this onto my employer as proof of completion. I highly recommend Fortress Learning to anyone wishing to complete further study. Thanks again to the team for all your support over the last 12 months whilst completing the Diploma.

Staff are there to support you when you need it - I took on the Dip VET and found myself under pressure away from the course. The Fortress team were always happy to jump on a call and chat through options and offer their assistance where possible. A couple of extensions and we finally got there! Don't be dissuaded by the large coursework/RPL files - make a start and you'll find they aren't so bad.

I decided to do the Dual Dip in a 6 month time frame. The course is very evidence based. Every time I started a new unit, it felt like "this time I am going to get stuck" I most likely will not have all the evidence required to show competency. However, somehow - I pulled it together every time. Jane, was good support, she really understands the curriculum to a high degree. When I figured I really couldn't pull it off in the allotted time, she said; "hmm you still might be able to" She walked me through the requirements in a less detailed version, that really assisted in getting it right the first time. Some of the functionality in Axcelerate is cumbersome, the acceptance of American spelling is a bit annoying. Overall, the experience with Fortress has been positive, I really like the 4 day return on assessments, it keeps you motivated and helps with time management. Thank you.

I highly recommend Fortress Learning if you are thinking of starting a course or gaining a new qualification. The staff and trainers are thorough, professional, and their attention to detail is excellent. The online portal system is simple to navigate, and the course notes and videos are clear, concise and easy to follow. I found the trainers and assessors to be readily available, prompt in their replies, and in some instances willing to go above and beyond, especially in my case where a deadline was imminent.
