The TAE40122 Transformation Journey

In 2021, Skills for Australia embarked on a mission to revamp the TAE Training and Education Package. Their target? The TAE40116, the predecessor of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. This overhaul wasn't just for kicks; it was a strategic move in response to the seismic shift towards online learning, a trend that gained momentum due to the pandemic's curveballs.

The crux of this evaluation was recognising that both learners and trainers were stepping into a brave new digital world, armed with skills that needed a serious upgrade. The existing TAE courses were like old maps in a new city – helpful but not quite up to the task.

Skills for Australia delved into the concerns and gathered valuable feedback. Their conclusion? It was time to introduce new units tailored to the evolving online landscape of training and assessment. Thus, the TAE40166 was given a major facelift, paving the way for the birth of the TAE40122 – a course designed not just to keep up with the times but to lead the charge into the future of education.
